  • It was a VERY long day, we had to leave her place (complete with already swallowed sedative) by 1pm, not 12 as I originally thought......but had got on the 9.50am train anyway.......the appointment was for 2pm, she was called in virtually straightaway, and came out again about 4.45......then I had to drive her to the Trafford centre where she needed to take back a dress to be replaced as there was a mark on the back(very pretty, silver, for the 'do' on Thursday), two pairs of shoes and get underwear, all ready for Thursday.........then a meal, then back to her place for packing, then the long drive here. Cuss the Motorway repairs, M6 was shut at J15, a long painful 25mph detour round a few towns, all single carriageway.......lots of only one lane open, 50mph sections, we got here just about 1.30am!!!!!!! And then I had to get up to get to Bletchley for another training day!

Ah well, a rest with feet up now........anyone able to, please do get your tickets for the Forge in Camden and come for some live jazz......all in aid of Macmillan...... http://tinyurl.com/yeb2rkh

    Hi Helen,

Wow, you certainly got around a bit & then back at Bletchley today..no wonder you've had a well earned rest this afternoon.

Hope you have a quieter time planned tomorrow before the big day on Thursday.

    Love & best wishes..

Dear Helen - what day you had - bet you were glad to get to bed last night???  I'd love tickets to see the live show - but it's a bit too far for me - however I will be there in spirit and am looking forward to reading all about it on Friday!!!!

When will Caz have the results of the scan???  Hope she doesn't have to wait too long??

    Love and ((((hugs))))  Dot xxxxxxx

  • Scan results are on St David's day, March 1st.......today is a lovely relaxing one, late getting up, we both lazed around a lot, I popped up to our local Co-op to get a few bits, then will have a hair trim this afternoon........son has booked a couple of days off so he too can both come and relax the following day, (expect it will carry on till late!).....hmm, a bit of a flirt with Rolf (and Rod too, the co-prducer who is a lovely chap) is possibly on the cards for tomorrow, but first I have the lunchtime OU choir where I will take a CD to wave around! We have some for sale now, Caz got a big box full hoping lots would be wanted tomorrow night, so I have the chance to sell some around here, to friends and acquaintances.

Now we really need to work our way through Bletchley volunteers induction folder, have virtually completed all the emergency stuff like fire alarm points, extinguishers and so on, they are ticked off ready for signing off by staff in all buildings except for those only open at weekends. Then its more preparation and lots of learning for 'The BP Walk' ie, the tour!

My love and hugs to all, please, if any of you do live close enough and would enjoy an evening of jazz and fun, do get to the Forge in Camden tomorrow, if you come, do introduce yourself to me, I'd really LOVE to meet some of you!

  • It was a really brilliant evening, she looked wonderful and the Macmillan PR ladies took some great photos......Rolf couldn't be there, he missed an evening of great jazz, the musicians did Caz proud, she played well too of course!

Don't think too many CDs were sold, but the evening was more about the publicity really, she did do some signing though!

    We were VERY late back!
