All of us on here get both good and bad news, i wanted to start a thread for all types of news, for everyone to post their news.....
  • Hmmm, awake now, another dose.....will see if she gets hungry.....bless her, she hasn't felt hungry for a couple of days she says, had a bowl of soup ready to be hotted up before I got here, but it was still waiting. (need to feed her up, she can't afford to lose weight, she's so very slim already)

My love and hugs to you all

Make sure she gets liquids down. Yummm - a bowl of soup woud do the trick. Good luck. Thinking of you!!!

    Love & Hugs,

    Mo

  • Fortunately she always has a glass of water by her side. The soup is a bit thick, so she's not keen.....might water it down.....she says she'll get something 'in a bit', at least I've cleaned the kitchen of all the waiting washing up and am waiting for dishwasher to finish so I can empty it....

    love and hugs to all

  • No worries, the soup is going down a treat right now! she hasn't drunk milk for a few years, after seeing a professional nutritionist, she has cheese and cream and butter and yoghurt though so she gets the calcium ok.

I think she just needed to feel peckish!

Leah, my Dad too was amazing, but I lost him aged only 62, my mother just wasn't the same, we didn't have a good relationship once i was older than a wee one! ((hugs)) to you......hope you had a special day?

love and hugs to you all

  • Today's results.....platelets definitely going up, white cells just starting to go up, red cells, which are slower as they have a longer life, are still low. the rash, he is quite concerned about and will refer to the Dermatology dept, there have been no other cases of this in the 50 or so who have had this treatment, but as she says, she has a difficult skin anyway and got a rash when she had her stem cells back after her transplant. It has certainly made her feel rough, and is still really bad. The Doc was amazed it is still so bad, and literally all over.

I'm cooking dinner tonight, so she doesn't need to do any worrying at all. the Doc gave her a prescription for meds so she doesn't need to buy them (at last!) and has included one for thrush as her tongue and mouth are sore. But he doesn't need to see her for a week now, instead of twice weekly checks.

    Love and hugs to all

    Dear Helen,
Pleased to read that Caz's platelets and white cells are starting to go up, keeping everything crossed that the rash will also start to get better real soon and she starts to feel a lot better.
My love and (((((((((hugs))))))))) to you both.

  • Phew, so do I, Quill, this rash is so horrid and keeps her awake such a lot, she cut her finger nails VERY short so she doesn't scratch, but it seems to have spread into her mouth too, not good for a trombonist to have sore chops!

hope you are doing a bit better? love and hugs to you and all who look in here too
