Dear helen - sorry to hear that Caz's spots have not gone away............but I hope that her headache is at least gone or lessened when she wakes.............Love and (((((((hugs))))))) to you both.....Dot xxxxxxxxx
Bless you all.....thank you for being so caring and loving....I just looked up the side effects on line, of the 'Basiliximab' that she had with the radioactive Iodine 131, I didn't know what it was till yesterday, and some of the common side effects are rash, headache and sleeplessness, which all apply to Caz, so as the itching seems much less and she isn't feeling ill or running a raised temp, I have decided to worry less! She seems ok with it and says the effects should gradually go. Further blood tests on Monday.
Her pal is now back from the funeral and at work.....so I will go back home tomorrow (still worrying of course, what Mum doesn't?!?)

I took a walk and got Caz her dinner from the chinese takeaway! she enjoyed it and is now getting round to doing a wee bit of computer work now.
We both hope that tonight will be a bit better and she can get to sleep easier.
love and hugs to you all, thanks so much for all the messages and support.....

Hello, Leah, Caz says she just needs a couple of hours sleep, as she didn't get off till this morning, then she'll get up and get going. Itching being kept under control, with antihistamine and her steroid cream that she has for eczema too. It seems the sleeplessness might be more difficult to cope with!
Then hopefully I'll head home on the train! ( hubs is lonely says its quiet there! lol, bless him!) The weather here is wet and very windy, no trace of any snow here any more, thank goodness, it had gone slushy and slippery.
My love and lots of hugs to all

Hi Helen - I hope that Caz's sleeping will soon sort itself and that she soon will be up and about as she was before.............. Love and big (((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) to you both and also lonely hubby...............poor chap................Dot xxxxxxxxxxxx
It's good to be home........Caz feels happier now she understands about the side effects of this Basiliximab, ok, we know she isn't good at getting up, but the last couple of days have been ridiculous! But apart from a short period of itching in the night, which she coped with using her eczema ointment and yet more antihistamine, she is managing it all remarkably well. She does seem to need the typical 'darkened room' and a dose of paracetamol for the headache each day, though. She still needs to be VERY careful about potential infection and vigilant about any untoward symptoms, of course, as she is greatly at risk until bloods climb back up. (I hope they do soon, this is torture, twice weekly round trips of an hour each way to get tested!)
hubs coped VERY well, bless him, but the dishwasher needed my attention, and the washing machine too!
My love and lots of hugs to you all together with thanks for keeping me going in the lonely times when all i had was this lappy and the TV! (memo to self, take stuff to do next time!)
