Loved the chicken
Our daughter is with us for the week and the organisation of the family Christmas is in full through.
My wife started her preparations for Christmas at the beginning of the year and her puddings are now mature. Her mincemeat for the mince pies is bubbling in in a bucket on the kitchen top and all the crackers have bought to be pulled over the Christmas period.
Mince pies will have orange in the pastry to make them taster
We drive to Reading from Worthing on Christmas morning and the car containing all the presents.
Always amazes how much effort is put into Christmas by my wife and my daughter
Nice to share your company.
Dear Tony
Please could I borrow your wife for a while to organise me and my christmas? She sounds truly amazing!!!!!

Well, that was an all singing night as the producer wasn't there......so we got to sing all the way through Act 1 finale, all the Gilbert and Sullivan operettas have long Act 1 finales, it seems! It does at least enable me to know the notes and will be easier to get them 'off the copy' sooner rather than later. The show will be in March next year, I know it seems a long way away but we need to learn all the moves and any steps as well as knowing the music and words, the soloists have an extra rehearsal every week as well.
Hope you all survive the big forecast stormy winds without too much damage........love and hugs to all
Moomy
Sounds as you having fun last night
Its windy / showery today on the south coast and we are due for a high tide soon.
Amost every week there is performance by local groups at the two theatres in the town which are well supported but the cost are increasing to put them on each year
My next job is to pick my wife and daughter, they have been Christmass shopping today
Must remember to be openning the card door carefully as we got a SW gale. It does not do the car any good using one of the doors to propel car along the see front
Have a nice weekend
Tony
Hi Helen,
Glad it was an all singing night for you, sounds like you were not looking forward to dancing, hope you enjoyed it dear lady.
oooooooooooooooooo weather has been awful for so many of you dear people, it rained here last night, and was quite windy, seems the south and west have got the worst of the storm, hope you are all ok and the worst is over for you all.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs to all))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Love Maryxxxxxxx
Tony, the weather is awful here too, windy (very!) wet and dark. We went to do some shopping earlier but were both glad to get home, even though the shopping centre was indoors! Needless to say, on a Saturday, it was crowded so as hubs uses sticks to get around, I was pleased we returned home, we'll shop on a weekday instead from now on!
Yes, I enjoy the shows but am slow at getting words and music off the page, my sight reading is better than my speed of learning! But I guess I'll manage even if during the show i 'goldfish' as the saying goes when you know you should be singing but can't remember it, open and shut the mouth in the right time instead!
Hope all of you on here are safe, my love and hugs to all
Moomy
