Hi. I have just registered some am new to the site. Please forgive me if I get things in the wrong place at this early stage. I have just found out today that my Mum has tumors on her brain, lungs and liver (seconday to malignant melonoma). I apologise for starting on the site so late, but am working nights from tomorrow (today now) so am staying up late to turn the body clock around. I probably wouldnt sleep anyway after todays news. I have read several of your stories on this site but have yet to find anyone who was faced with such widespread tumors over so many sites. Mum has so far been offered radiotherapy for the brain tumors and has been given steriods to start tomorrow. It seems that we will have to wait with regard to the lungs and liver to see another Consultant. We have been told that the care will be mainly palliative and that surgery will not be possible. It is hard to accept that she appears to have gone from apparent health to terminally ill in the space of just 3 weeks! Life can be a bit of a pig! Take care all and thanks for allowing my drawl.
