Hahahaha, thanks, folk, yes, the kitchen will be good, its just that 'getting to it' stage that will feel as though it lasted ages! We have yet to choose the peripherals, like tiles, handles and so on....but have decided on a new window and flooring, cupboard doors and counter top already! Keeping my 'white goods' as the kitchen is a long thin one and so we are going for white doors on the cupboards, to keep it light as possible. I'm quite excited really, just dreading the upheaval while its being done! Think its going to take anything up to 2 weeks! ouch! Oh well, lots of ready-meals in the microwave.....
Caz is ok, she pops on to her computer to post new pictures to me every couple of days, in emails, bless her!

Hi, everyone, yes it is grey and damp here, some folk not far away have had storms but we haven't noticed any thunder.
We spent a good hour this morning finalising the new kitchen details, now have the plan, paid deposit and so it all goes ahead now.....aaaarrrrrggghhhhh, what have I done?????? but I think it will look wonderful, bright and airy, clean yet not clinical. Just facing the awful upheaval, which will be for ages as we have to empty all cupboards first, then about 2 weeks while its being done, then its all the moving back, deciding where everything goes and ditching the stuff that doesn't!!!!! They have a good day just doing the electrics, apparently!
All is quiet on the Caz front.......I know that if there is ever a problem, she phones me, so all is ok so far......
Congrats on taking the plunge with a new kitchen......I always enjoy the planning and choosing stages but hate the fitting!!! But we've always done it ourselves.......and only just avoided outright war!!!! I may have to get a little man in next time round......but that won't be for a long time yet!!!!
I'm glad I managed to persuade him indoors that it is really needed! And as his arthritis is too bad to allow him to do it now ( he did the old one, bless him!) then we have to have it all done professionally! I'm half wondering if all the NT and EH places will still be open and we can take long rides out every day!
Of course they will be - well day-time anyway...............but don't forget school hol activities will be on ........you could try dressing up as lady in distress waiting for you knight in shining armour (himself of course!!)!!!!
Your new kitchen is going to be super, you will not know yourself once the work is completed. I am so pleased to hear that Caz is ok dear lady, long may this continue for your wonderful daughter.
Its just stopped raining here now, and there is a little bit of sunshine peeping through the clouds. It has rained heavily for the past twenty four hours. Flooding in Rothbury, but thankfully Morpeth has got away with it this time.
I am so pleased to hear that news, it will certainly give you and hubby a lift, just knowing our kids are happy helps us mother hens. Sounds like Caz is going to have a wonderful couple of days, she deserves them, bless her. Hope your day has been good dear lady.
