We all get good as well as bad news, let's just post the news here....

Hello, folk......Caz will be here by 9pm hopefully, if the train is on time (ha! are they ever?) but we will be off by silly o'clock tomorrow to get her to north London......

Now that I've got my head round it......I was at a Support group this afternoon, my local Lymphoma group meeting, and this month we had a Doctor who has done research, and is now setting up a course for the OU on 'Understanding Cancer', just started running....he was really interesting, saying about the new antibody therapies that are just coming into trials or mainstream therapies now. One might be the trial that we hope Caz will be able to get onto, antibody together with radiation. He was able to explain the way it worked in a simple enough way for me to follow, and it sounded amazing, and it was easy to follow why she would need to go into a lead lined room for a few days. He was an interesting speaker, and not too 'scientific' and willing to explain further if asked. Thankfully it is a small group, so the talk was almost a question and answer session. Apparently these therapies have been 'in the pipe line' for at least 10 years....needless to say i wanted to know where treatment will be going in the future, but just got a grin and an evasive answer, he is no doubt bound by secrecy!

That is so wonderful that you were able to meet someone that could explain things more easily, I am so pleased. I will pray that Caz gets on this trial and into remission, she deserves it, and so does her mum and dadxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hmmmmmm, silly o'clock came, we got up, I drove to Harrow where Caz was being met by taxi with one of her friends who is on tour too......I drove back, had another hours sleep, and am now feeling as though my brain and my eyes are still sleepy and somewhat befuddled (lovely word!)......but Caz's flight which was to Nantes, landed safely and she is now officially on tour!

now so tired i had a nap in front of the tennis!

hi, Mary, yes I was gutted too, as was Caz, I had promised to text her with progress and result.......ah well,maybe another year.....

I feel much better now, had a very long sleep and a lazy start to the day, caught up on some programmes recorded!
