There are changes seen to Spleen and Liver, which might well be 'hot spots', so a PET scan, a bone marrow biopsy again are already organised, and a possible biopsy of a node needed, to determine what exactly we are faced with, but there are still a couple of trials coming up, one open almost now that she could get on, depending what the results show. Prof still reckons on Gemcitabine, being one drug he always said she could get into remission with, if she has that it opens a trial. the trials are with antibody and either radiation or toxin, the antibody targets the tumour, then the radiation or toxin will bump it off. Caz hasn't totally been hit by it, she took a sedative, but she has talked quite a bit on the way back, and is still thankful that a donor transplant is still a way off.
I feel soooooo angry that, why our lass when there are criminals out there who get away with it!!!!????
But at least Prof is getting on with stuff fast......unfortunately we are away for the next appointment(early June)when she'll get results, but her close pal who is also always there, will be there for that.
Hi Helen, Just sent you a message on facebook but wanted to send you one here as well. I am so sorry that the news was not better for Caz. I'm glad that they are getting on doing the pet scan and the biopsy as soon as so you will knw what your dealing with. I really hope that these trials that are coming up will help Caz and that she will get into remission. Its understandable that your angry about it all anyone would be. Helen I am so so sorry that the news was not better for your dear Caz, I totally agree with you there are so many b.................... out there, its not fair is it dear lady.
It sounds very much like they will be keeping an extra special eye on her and I pray that the trials coming up will help to get your dear girl into remission.
Dear Helen, Have just sent you pm, Im so sorry to read your news but its good they are getting things organised so quickly and i hope and pray that the trials coming up will help your dear Caz, You are so right about all the evil people out there its so unfair, and you have every right to feel angry.
