The snow came overnight, we have a table with a sundial in the centre in our garden, which sticks up about 5 inches, that is totally obscured by about 6 inches of snow this morning! All looks so pretty, but I suspect it won't stay long, as it seems a bit warmer.
Caz emailed me with a poster advertising a Brass course in Peru this summer, she is representing England as a tutor! Bless her, she does get about! She has had her jabs for her trip to India, Mumbai, in two or three weeks!
The snow has just about finished now, we have a good 6 inches of snow, just been out and done an accurate measurement! It was snowing hard by 8am today, and the sky still looks grey but is lighter than it was. The worry now is for freezing on top of what we have had in the last few days! The M1 was slow but running this morning when I looked, but I'd hate to have to travel if I didn't need to! so am going to obey the Police and AA advice, and stay here! I am amazed at folk still driving to get to our little block of local shops, how lazy can you get? And I've laughed inside to see some of them struggling to keep the cars on a straight line when that is the furthest they go! Why do these eeejits think they have legs????
She-who-likes-to-think-she'll-be-obeyed has been keeping me busy with editing on here yesterday, it doesn't take me long to precis, was always quick and good at it in English at school, and have found I still have the knack! One of the hardest, though, was a short one which was full of facts, many needing to be retained!
We have snow still lying, especially where the sun hasn't reached, but at least the roads are mostly clear. Don't know about the rest of you, but I hear that this area may well get a load more in the next few days.....

Yes, of course there is relief, but tinged still with worry of course, the watch and wait still does still leave some strain of that worry, we are getting more used to it, still tough though, if I'm honest.....but she is well, and that is soooooo great to see!

Have you saw the forecast for tomorrow, its dreadful, I severe storm is going to hit parts of the country, bringing wind, heavy rain and heavy snow falls, I do hope that you are all ok and that it does not affect you.
My heart goes out to you all, we have hardly had any apart from last monday and then the warmer air came in from the sea turning it to rain which washed it all away. Its has been cold and frosty, and some snow flurrys but that is all, and it doesn't look like we are going to be affected by the next storm, although that could change over the next twenty four hours.
Take great care, and stay warm, looks like your children will be having more time off school.
