All of us on here get both good and bad news, i wanted to start a thread for all types of news, for everyone to post their news.....
  • I too hope that rotten cold has got up and gone, poor girl.....

I now have a fully functional washing machine, oh boy, don't you miss one when you haven't got one?! It hasn't been working for just over a week, had to resort to hand washing some things, aching wrists resulted.....it will now have to make up for not behaving itself by working overtime, lol!

Had a meeting with Fay (Mac nurse) today just before lunchtime choir, she is lovely and we were able to chat easily.

Been gardening this afternoon, too, now finished moving the shrubs and bulbs I wanted to, boy, its good to sit down!

love and hugs to you all

    Dear Helen,
Hope that Caz is feeling better now. So pleased that you have got your washing machine sorted out, it is so horrible being without one isn't it, I really don't like hand washing, we are spoilt with our machines arn't we.
Hope that your enjoying your rest now and have them feet up.
    My love and ((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))

  • I am VERY happy to have a machine again! Mind you, ever since it has been mended it has rained.......ah well......

I enjoyed myself this evening, i had been going to a different choir but had discovered they need more time commitment and money than i am prepared to give, i was asked to audition even though I'd already said some of this, passed the audition and then turned them down, haha! Naughty maybe, but they had been warned......They aren't a terribly friendly lot either......

A book came for Caz and me today, 'Healing Laughter', I will read it and let you all know.....

love and hugs to you all

  • Have had some flowers and a card from Caz ready for tomorrow, bless her! (Our two never forget! )We have been emailing each other, she has heard and had some ideas about a new treatment,, we will be discussing it with Professor Radford or Adam Gibb at her next appointment.

She's in Filey today, hasn't been there before, but there is obviously some trombone work there! She might be coming to us on monday, depending on the time she starts work on Tuesday, if its early she'll drive to us and catch an earlier train from here, but otherwise she'll be with us on Wednesday, there is a concert in memory of her friend Simon, with the Brass Band he played in, she'll jump in and play whatever they are short of, at present it looks like Bass Trombone! Bless her, she is so well qualified to do that, thanks to all they put her through at the Royal Northern!

I've got a load of washing hanging out in the fresh air and sun! Yay! thank goodness for a working washing machine, haha!

my love and hugs to all who pop in here

Moomy, can I drop my washing in for you? I am sure you would LOVE to put your machine throuygh it's paces lol.

I hope Caz is doing ok. She seems to be making a great effort to get on with her life. Good for her.  Filey is a very small place. I have only been there a couple of times and only on school trips.

Look after yourself and enjoy your flowers.

    Love and angel hugs x x x Patricia x x x

  • hahahaha, of course, lol! though it has clouded over a bit now.....

Caz is indeed getting on with her life, as she always does, bless her......I like Filey, it isn't all brash and in-your-face like many sea-sides, has terraces leading down to the sea, if I remember right, went there a good few years ago now. but I bet she won't see much of the place, just be working, she might get the chance to have a speedy look though....

    love and hugs
