Crikey Helen - I thought I was childlike at times!!!!  I must give it a go!!!  I have fingers crossed that everything goes well for Caz today...........it's so frustrating when our young ones are so far away!!!  But hopefully the roads/trains etc will soon be passable for you to get together..................Love and warm comforting (((((hugs)))))) for today...............Dot xxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Dot, its astonishing I didn't ROFL while I was doing it, haha! I emailed it to Caz, she replied immediately with 'brilliant!!!!!!!'

Caz posted that she was having beans on toast for breakfast (sounds an odd brekker but she loves her beans!), and off to hospital for the third time this week! Hope she is out of sedation soon after the appointment so she can let me know what happened, and maybe also what the PET scan result is....

    love and hugs to all

  • Very proud of Caz, she didn't take a sedative at all today......results, well, here we go:......spleen now clear (yay!), node in her neck and one in her chest  near heart still showing but less than before, some take up in her tonsil but she does have tonsillitis so it could be that. bloods, still low platelets but the downturn is slowing, but now she has very low white cells so has now to be careful of infection.....next scan about a month, next bloods on Monday. She's now on antibiotics.

so, all in all, reasonable results though I had hoped for more especially in her chest.....but this med will still work for a further couple of months yet.

    Dear Helen,
So pleased that the meds are working and that Caz's spleen is clear, will be keeping everything crossed that the meds continue there good work and blast them other nodes. Hope that her white cells improve very soon and she stays clear of any infections.
My love and huge (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) for you both.

  • Jonnyb, just keep your pecker up and support your wife, she too must feel scared.....do keep posting!

Quill, we are delighted but hope for better news especially the node in her chest, as its near her heart! Hope you are feeling better today?

Helen - Never know if it's appropriate to do the Dance of Joy yet or if it's too early. The results are looking hopeful. Hope that node near her heart disappears in the coming months, though and that the antibiotics clear up the infection. I guess she'll get a rest from all her touring and performing in the short term. Hope she doesn't get too bored after having had such an exciting few months travelling with such high profile groups. Whew - What a roller-coaster ride!!!

Still, the worrying continues, doesn't it?

Sending Love & Hugs your way.
