oooooooooooooooooo Helen there is no way we can cut grass up here in the North at this time of year, wish we could it is just too wet, rains a lot lo! just goes to show that living in the South is so much warmer then here, oooooooooooooo think I will have to move hehehe.
So pleased that you did not have any damage and that you are all ok, these storms are awful and so frightening for many.
Biggest of of hugs to all

Mary, it's only a few degrees colder really, but of course you then have the wind chill of the North Sea!
We are hoping since it's Canada seed that it will germinate fairly fast, so that in this relatively mild week it has a chance! Certainly it has been well watered, lol!
It's Caz's birthday tomorrow but as she is ahead in a different time zone, we wished her a good birthday at lunchtime here, midnight there! She is loving being in a hot place to celebrate for once! I texted her but her Dad phoned, I was just about to rehearse, and have another early evening today too.
My love and hugs to all

The weather on the South Coast has been very windy today and sea has been really rough today. The wind is coming from the south west so it is very mild for the time of year.
I planted potatoes for Christmas and we are now harvesting them now as a gamble in Sept as I missed out on planting them in the spring time. The wind and the rain has done a great amount of damage to there foliage. On the whole they had done very well and they taste wonderful.
Looks like we are going get a bumpy crop of white and purple sprouting broccoli after Christmas. In the spring time we will having our own crop of asparagus. Something grow and somethings don't grow you have to be a optimist when planting seeds.
Been into Brighton today, wife and daughter have been shopping so I was able to go out on the pier, walk by the sea, and go round the shops which I like to look at. When I was having R/T at the beging of the year I explored Brighton after each session. My job is to carry the carrier bags once they got there bargains. We go into Brighton on the bus and that means I don't have problem of parking or driving.

Hi Helen,
I do hope Caz has a fantastic birthday! I also hope you are feeling better and that we may manage to have lunch together before Christmas. How are your pickled onions coming on? I've pickled 2lbs with another 2 to go! I'm not really crying - it's all these onions.

Had a brief skype chat this morning with our daughter, she was partying, complete with party hat, with her fellow musicians! Of course, it is evening there!
We are looking forward to seeing her on Sunday, no doubt the heating bill will shoot straight up here, though!
