Anyone there?
Steve
How can I help you out? We are all patients or carers here on the forums, supporting and helping each other, but we are not medics. We share our experiences, and lend a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. Please don’t give up on us.

I’d just like to try and help you out here, that’s all.

If you want to get that frustration out, I’m happy to listen. It might help to share with others.

If you can tell me how, I can try my best.

Phone the support line in the morning-number in my signature-and you will be able to speak to one of the MacMillan advisors who can help with money and benefit advice. You just need to give them some of your details-outgoings, any savings etc and they are the experts in directing you to any support you can access.
Unfortunately the benefits system can be slow as I know from my own experience claiming personal independence payment and things don’t happen instantly. But they might be able to suggest other sources of support while you wait for a reply about your universal credit application.

Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
