Hi Bubbles67 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m sorry to read that you were unable to sleep and I know how horrible lying awake at night can be. I can see that since posting this message you found and joined in on the thread 'awake and up all night'.
I hope you were able to get a few restful hours.Hey totally new to this... its not me but my dad. Fought lung twice and recently found out its back but showing signs its spread to the brain. Struggling with it this time round
Hi Xsparklex and welcome to the online community.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I'm sorry to read that your dad's lung cancer has spread to his brain. It's perfectly natural to be feeling as you do.
The online community is divided into different support groups and I can see you've already found and joined the lung cancer group which is a great place to connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as your dad.
Other groups which you might like to join are the secondary brain cancer and family and friends groups.
If you'd like to join, just click on the links I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your dad's diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
