Trying to find Odette -where are you xx

  • Hi Sarah wow can i let you know about me

Covid -followed by surgery on my feet where they cut through and severed the nerves in my right foot -then to top everything - me in a wheelchair and I had a stroke- ye gods i thought - bring it on but then my husband had chest cancer and after surgery 3 months later he had throat cancer treatment obs chemo & radio T

We decided after he felt better to come to Spain - then I found a lump in October-back to UK diagnosed as cancer & had a mastectomy 3 weeks before Christmas I wanted to pack my bags and go anywhere

I just wanted the world to stop - but the support me and my husband got was incredible

now finding this Forum has helped more than I ever thought possible

every one here is just the best" out of hospital support" I have ever found

Just to read peoples chat has opened me to a different way of what me and my husband have been through

they are all amazing and there when you need them

    Love to all x

Love to you Sarah - always here xx

  • Hi Jann. I'll reply cos with any luck Sarah will be asleep now, with her little cat cuddling up.

Good grief hon, you and your hubby have been through the wars and back again. Yet you always sound so cheery so a massive big up to you! Everybody on the forums has been through the mill, no thanks to this vile disease, but somehow find a way to get through it and you, my young friend, and your hubby, are no exceptions. You fully deserve your time in the sun.

Sending you both love and hugs xxx

  • Morning

Sorry-I was sound asleep when you were here and I missed your post. What a lot you and your hubby have been through…so much to deal with for you both. I hope you are both doing ok now after everything you’ve endured.

I’m glad you’ve found this forum and can feel you’re not alone..as Gill says all of us have been through a lot of different things but everyone is here to try and help support each other and have some lovely company along the way. we can end up chatting about all sorts!

    Sarah xx

  • Morning Gill

Yes, I was out like a light after my pills last night-fell asleep watching something on catch up but slept well thank goodness. Woke up early so decided I might as well get up and do something useful and get a few bits of housework done so here I am!

I’m not liking these dark mornings and I’d rather be like Jann and be in Spain. I’ve even got my gloves on in the house!

  • Morning Sarah and I'm pleased you got some sleep.

Jann and her husband have certainly been through it, but she remains upbeat, which is fantastic. Now I'm not too fussed about sun, but I do envy them being by the sea - many of us here will relate to that.

No guesses for what I'm doing now. Yep, reading through it and then getting it in the envelope with all the photocopies. I'm taking your advice and sending it by registered post, then it'll be Au Revoir.

Hey, you're not the only one resorting to wearing gloves indoors as LOH has too. Blast neuropathy to the skies!

Don't do too much housework and maybe catch-up on that catch-up instead. Have a relaxing day love. xxx

  • I grew up by the sea in Scotland Gill, so I miss it down here..a lot! I love the sun and warmth too, so I enjoy going abroad, even though I’m now limited to where I can go. I’m just glad I can still get away, and holiday already booked for next year so there’s something to look forward to.

I wear fingerless gloves in the house-lovely and cosy to keep my hands warm but still allow me to do things-I am lucky not suffering from neuropathy at all-I’m just cold a lot!

But I’m feeling quite good today which is always a bonus and quite motivated to be a bit productive!

Have a good day, and I’ll be popping back later so might see you then.
