We are sorry to hear about your breast cancer diagnosis. Please do get in touch with us if you feel it would help to talk it over. We are here over the weekend, 7 days a week 8-8.
It usually takes a week or two for the results of a scan to become available. The radiologist will send the report to your team, who will arrange to discuss the results with you.
Often you can choose to receive copies of all correspondence written between different health professionals. You can do this by contacting the hospital team and requesting to be copied into letters. Alternatively, you can request for a copy of your medical records.
If you have any difficulty accessing your information, you can contact your relevant Patient and Advice Liaison Service (PALS), who should be able to help.
Receiving a diagnosis of cancer can be a very challenging time. It is common to feel many emotions. If these emotions start to affect you there is help and support available.
