A hospice Dr tells my Dad who has secondary liver cancer prognosis is 2 to 3 months max... Oncologist using a 5 week old ct scan and last septembers notes tell my dad yesterday that if he has another course of chemo he has 2 yrs?

On Wednesday 21st my mum was told she has gullet and bone cancer. She said that the dr's said she has 2 1/2 yrs to live, but my sister who is a nurse said she has 9 months. They were both there when she was told, wh do I believe my mum or my sister?
