Wreckless Rantings.

2 minute read time.
My first Blog! So exciting. You'll have to excuse me, I've drunk far too much coffee and am positively bouncing at the moment! I've been shopping... again. My partner wont be happy, my living room is full of bags of shopping. I havent stopped shopping since I was given my Liverpool appointment.... I should back up a bit and give those of you who dont know me a bit of a background before I go ranting! So about 4/5weeks ago I had a Friday off work and had been in town with my partner shopping (I see a pattern) and saw Specsavers and said to my partner "I really should go get my eyes tested, squinting at the TV menu is getting silly now", he smiled... glad I'd finally given in and admitted my eyesight was appauling. So we went in and I asked when I could have an appointment and they managed to squeeze me in 10minutes later. I hated having my eyes tested, but it wouldnt take long right? WRONG!!! 1hour I was in there! Turns out my right eye is lazy, so that just didnt want to do any work, so that made testing my right eye incredibly difficult. Never mind...its lazy, get glasses go home right? WRONG!!! The optician noticed a large mole behind my left eye and because of the size wanted to refer me on to the local hospital... I was slightly worried, but thought, oh it'll be fine. 5days later I went to the Eye casualty, they took pictures, did an ultrasound, took another good look and decided to refer me to the consultant because they werent 'happy to rule out cancer at this stage'. So one week later I plodded along back down to the hospital to see the consultant. One of his team took a look, then left the room and bought the actual consultant in who took another look. He decided to refer me to Liverpool Occular Oncology center as he wasnt happy to rule out cancer either... my appointment in Liverpool is on Monday 03/08/09. Only 1.5days to go, I'm incredibly anxious, and stressed out but very glad that very shortly I will know either way. So back to the important stuff lol... I went shopping Thursday night, I bought an over night bag for Liverpool, PJ's, comfy clothes for the journey, you know stuff I needed for the hospital. Then I went home content... but on Friday night I decided that wasnt enough!! So I bought a brand new coat, a new handbag, a new top and lots of other pointless stuff, not at all needed... all shopped out.... until this morning lol. Armed with my iPod blasting out my fave tunes I hit the shops. I bought makeup... not really going to need that but ok... more clothes and woolly boots!? OK so the Boots are stunning, but it's summer!!! I really cant make out like I needed them! I've managed to hide my shopping behind the sofa so when my partner comes home he doesnt hit the roof lol, will slowly introduce the clothes to the wardrobe, and when he says "When did you get this?" look at him like he's daft, "I've had that for years" LOL. Any men reading this are thinking "I KNEW IT!" Oh well... Roll on Monday. Wish me luck... I've got to go I need more caffeine lol x Wreckless xxx

    Hey Wreckless!

Those boots will come in handy up here... it's brass monkey weather today, and they'll keep your tootsies toasty while you're pounding the pavements of Liverpool One... I feel more retail therapy will be the order of the day on Monday if you find the time!

    Good luck with the appointment.
