4 WEEKS AFTER SURGERY (GRAPHIC PHOTOS)

Less than one minute read time.

Hi

Just come home from plastic dressing clinic. Was a rushed appointment so the photos are not great... will take more at the weekend. However, everything is healing well and as to be expected at this time.

I have been asked by my MacMillan nuse if I would be interested in a trial of bevacizumab. Has anyone else had this? The side effects can be raised blood pressure which i have already so i am not sure if i want to go ahead with it.

Photos from today are below and are graphic.

Thanks

Peter

hi mazz thanks for your message...

i think i will take the trials and i am well within the time scale for entry. my macmillan nurse is talking with the dept and will contact me very soon. i have asked if possible to have appointments on days off or early am so i can get to work afterwards.

a book?? ahah aha i dont think i have the patience to do that... i need to write a piece then send it to the papers see what they think..maybe if i keep up the blog for 5 years including the trial then i might have enough research for a book...

    thanks

Hi peter im sure you could easily write a book lol, i think re the trial you would be very wise to grab it ,if your offered it then thats great ,they seem to be quite hard to get on, so good luck i will be watching, reading and following your progress ,keep strong peter but also allow yourself time out as its a very emotional journey that your on and i found out at my expense that you just need time out to heal from inside  too.let us all know what paper youd be writing too so we can look out for your article that would be great ,maybe you should choose the "sun" lol, anyway carry on keeping well ,mazz x

    Hi,

I was on the same trial for 8 months (my disease came back so I had to stop). I would recommend trying it, I was on the drug arm and had little side effects. The skin graft looks good, where abouts is it? all the best with healing.

    hi ruth

the WLE site is left leg inside just above ankle.. the grapft doner site is outer thigh left leg.. but above it is an attempt they failed but healed up about 2 weeks after and you can hardly see it... you can in earlier posts... i had SNB left side groin and they took out 5 nodes and they all cam back negative.

thanks for your message... and i love your biography.. especially 3rd paragraph.

    take care
