Ouch!  They look so sore, Peter!  I'm sure it was quite a shock when you saw the extent of the WLE, lower legs are nasty places to have them!  Fingers crossed that everything heals nicely.

Oh Heck  - that brings back memories - Mine was much the same but on my thigh, - I cried Peter, - it is ok for women to do so(so I tell myself) - how  -  -I did have skin staples, - but these were removed with fhe first change of dressing, -apparently they stick the skin into the cavity with glue (but not super glue) - it is amazing how quickly it heals. Mine is just a funny smallish ?? looking cavity now

They used jellonet to fill the cavity when it was being dressed, - what do they do with yours.

I would love all those people who think it is nothing to have melanoma to see your pictures.

    Best of luck

hi and thanks for the reply

this appointment was the 1st dressing appointment and the staples have come out.. i felt every one but im getting used to pain now and pretty much OD'd before going to the appointment,

can you see how the first attempt at the graft didnt work so they tried again successfully! the groin SNB was fine and the report says its near healed.

my left foot left side has swollen with lymph fluid and they have asked me to raise my leg when resting to higher than my heart to get the fluid running downwards,

according to the the report the wound was packed with kaltostat then gauze and surgipad secured with sofban and tape then double tubigrip over the whole lot.

i have toyed with publishing the pics to my facebook page but decided not to but to let everyone know they are available. the other side of me says publish them as a warning to white people like me to stay out the damn sun!!!

    thanks again for the message

I have mine on facebook, Pete.  Although they're at a more recovered state than yours.  Have you joined any of the facebook groups on melanoma?  There's quite a few out there, wouldn't say there's much medical content, but there are certainly some incredible photographs.
