I am 51 married for 26 years and have wife (47) 2 children Girl (26 ) Son (19) and Grandaughter (2). I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2001 when i was 43. It was a stage 2b seminoma. I had one of my testicles removed followed by 4 weeks of radiotheraphy. I got all the regular check ups for 5 years and was discharged in 2007 with a clean bill of health. Imagine my horror when A week or so ago I started experiencing a straining feeling on the side were my remaining testicle is and that testicle was feeling harder than usual. I immediatly made an appointment to see my gp and I have been reffered to go for an ultasound. I am told I can wait for up to 4 weeks but she expects me to be seen faster than that. I am told it could be many things but I think I have already made my mind up that the cancer has returned to the other testicle. I find the waiting and the not knowing is the worst part.
