out of hospital

Less than one minute read time.

Now back at home after a month or so in Blackpool and Preston Hospitals for 2nd Op to remove growing Brain tumour. brain swelling, lots of sterroids etc. and Radio therapy on all brain and now RT on Tumour directly. so now another 2 weeks or so as an out patient with Radiotherapy weekday mornings at Preston Hospital. This course of RT will be  focu ssed on brain tumour itself snd is termrd by Dr. as a boost after 1st course of RT to whole Brain.

I wish everyone all the best in all your own trials, Treatments and battles. As lots of friends and relatives say to me; try and staypositive. Sounds Trite sometimes, but we aaaal need to not get too  despairing when things are bad. best wishes to all

    My 64 yo dad was diagnosed with a stage iv GBM after collapsing seven weeks ago. His tumour is inoperable and he's currently two weeks in to combined palliative chemo/RT. His prognosis isn't good as his condition is terminal but, like you, he has a fantastic spirit and is mostly positive (he's handling it much better than I am, in fact).

    Keep going, you're doing so well.
