With all the best intentions in the world, had a lovely relaxing bath and settled down to get a good nights sleep..........4,30 am and I am still awake.
When hubby woke me just wanted to tell him to cancel the appointment and leave me in bed, but managed to drag myself out and get going. Got to the hospital 10 minutes early then had a 40 minute wait. My consultant wasnt there today but I was seen by one of his crew (very nice man) who I had seen on the ward the day after my operation. He explained everything to me and thankfully there were no nasty shocks, yes they had found further cancel cells but they had managed to remove these and as there was 1 node affected the treatment had not changed. He is sending off a referral letter today to the oncologist and I should hear next week when my appointment will be and then the chemo should start 1-2 weeks after that.
Got outside and breathed a HUGE sigh of relief, it was the best possible news he could have given me, I even chanced my arm and asked him about the pain in my leg and he had a good look and felt around and said he wasnt worried about it in the least. So stopped off at Sainsburys to pick up some fillet steak and other yummies for a lovely dinner tonight. I think I will probably have a really good nights sleep tonight and if things keep going as well as they are today I am going to try and get into work for a few hours tomorrow.
Thank you all for your fantastic support over the last few weeks and especially the last few days this waiting for results sucks. I know I havent won the battle yet but feel really positive for the first time.
