it turns out that if you work hard all your life then fall on bad times you get no benefits at all! thank you very much. i worked six days a week and now im ill who cares! well i will get better and back on top!

Was it the benefits agency that told you you're not entitled to financial help? I went through this last year when my son was diagnosed with NHL. The worst lot were Jobcentre Plus, they did everything they could to try and stop us claiming any benefits.
Our first claim was rejected until my local carers association intervened. The claim had to be reviewed by the Jobcentre Plus legal admin before they acknowledged they were wrong.
I hope you've been in touch with the Mc helpline.
Don't give up and do get help, some of the claim forms are quite complicated.
