Jokes

Less than one minute read time.

Emm.......I thought the jokes were supposed to be in a different place? Iv just read a heartbreaking post from a member who has lost their wife, and on the same page no less than 7 (?) jokes! Not in the best of taste really. I am not a prude i just dont think these jokes should be on the homepage with all the others.

Most jokes nowadays are posted on the joke site.  Obviously Toni is having difficulty posting hers there.  It is difficult.  I'm still a bit unsure if I am doing the right thing.  She has apologised and explained what happened.  No-one is deliberately trying to upset others.  We are all either patients or carers on this site and understand how others are feeling and Toni would never intentionally hurt anyone.  I hope she manages to work out how to post her jokes, as I for one, would miss them.

if you hadn't noticed this is a cancer website not a copy of the beano ..sorry that you come on here for a laugh and get confronted with people whinging on about there cancer ..how awful for you.

yes faced with terminal cancer i am trying to get a grip , i have to everyday for my young children , my 8 year old is devestated that i'm ill again and is trying to get his head around the prospect of losing me ..shall i tell him to get a grip too!.

i've been using this website for a year now ever since diagosis and seen many good people come and go , people that used kind words to support other sufferers , never have i come accross someone so rude and ignorant as to tell anouther sufferer to get a grip , pure nastiness. most of my old friends on here have gone to facebook now , because this site has changed so much that it lets people like you in .

sorry to all the people who asked me to update them on my progress i would not like to write anymore blogs now in fear that i might come accross as someone who is actually suffering from cancer.

Please keep posting your blog, WE ALL CARE, regardless how we come across. Most of us alternate between tears and laughter all through the day. I was recently 'told off' for my dark sense of humour, but I still post, albeit a little more sensitive now. We all deal with our fears in different ways, some laugh, some cry, and sometimes one or two posts seem unkind, BUT they are all well meant.

Love and BIG Hugs to a very brave lady,    Bill xxx
