Yesterday I was told the good news that my bloods were within normal range and I didnt need more treatment
Yes!!!
I was so numb I couldnt take it in to start with! Yes I will have a small dark cloud hovering in the form of being a former cancer patient and needing blood screening every three months for 2 years then less regular for life BUT I can see the sun again! I can dare to hope things may be ok!
Even as I typed my status as "all clear" i had this nagging thought - should i really put that, is that just tempting fate to strike again???
As a good friend told me who was very ill 2 years ago, worrying about it coming back wont prepare you, it wont help, it will just spoil the good times.
So my life will be in little 3 month segments but I am determined not to let that get me down - Im lucky to have that freedom
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my Mac family for all their support, for making me smile in the chat room, for sharing your experiences and for just being there. Ive met so many great people and I hope to meet many more and hopefully give something back to others.
So I am off for a bit of retail therapy to celebrate, ok maybe not a bit maybe alot in the form of new shoes!
Thank you and take care and fingers crossed that there is more good news to follow for others
