Next Steps

1 minute read time.

Well it’s nearly Monday 5th November when I have my scan,
and I have managed to largely forget about cancer for the last 12 weeks as they
left me without any treatment (which I was pleased about).

Recurrent cancer in my pelvis feb 2012 chemo booked twice but
cancelled as I managed to get surgery to remove this in June. Scan August
showing lung mets 6 tiny ones and two others, left me 6 weeks to see if these
little ones are growing, next scan showed 2 larger ones had grown so this is
definitely cancer but little ones have stayed the same.

Left me another 6 weeks to see if I still have only 2 and I
can possibly have lung surgery. I have been grateful to have this time without
starting treatment and have managed to carry on as normal and enjoy my life.

After 5th November (results on 9th) it will be either no surgery and
just chemo and that’s it, or if remarkably I still have only 2 lung mets and my
pelvic tumour has not returned there is still treatment they can offer me.

Its been great having this little bit of hope for the last
12 weeks, but the date is now looming and I am expecting the worst, but fingers
crossed.

I have been reading about oxyplatin experiences on here and
not looking forward to that if it is the next steps, but I will wait and see.

Good luck to everyone with their battles, it is inspiring to
read stories and how everyone is coping.

Take care

Jo x
