well how to begin this blog i could tell all and everything but i don't wish to bore anyone too much.....My name is Wendy just after my lovely holiday with my daughter and her family i went to the dr's with what had been a dull ache in my abdomen area , my dr gave me the routine check ups including an internal which i shot through the roof with.....Luckily i saw a great gp whom i owe an awful lot too and was sent for a scan about ten days later where i was then quickly refferd to the specialist oncologist/gynacological unit where i had another ultrasound then ct scan ( the dye made me ill for a few ays after but soon got back to my normal self)I had another apppointment with the dr's for results on my prognosis which i have to say i never really took in at first .The words ovarian cancer just sent shocks through my body, it was like a lock to my real life and never really entered my mind. All i could think about was the first ever operation i was to have would be a hystorectomy removing everything around the ovaries that would end up giving life to my two children would later on be the cause of this said operation. The operation went well i was told they had also removed my appendix as this was infected aswell as my ommentum womb and ovaries to , my stage is three my name is wendy and for the first time in my 56 years on this earth( with help from my son simon ) am writing a blog i was diagnosed with serous pepillary cancer and have just embarked upon the first of six double doses of chemo . i Have good days and i have what i call baaad days where i feel like all i wish to do is sleep. Thank god for family friends and the wonders of technology and of course tv doodle books and books to keep my spirits up , for my first blog i shall leave you with a small thoguht everyday is precious and every minute a wonder lets live love and enjoy every precious moment. please keep smiling wendy
