Home on Tuesday

Less than one minute read time.
Thanks to the good care in the department, lots of different antibiotics and his indomitable will, good old tenacious Markus has improved a lot, and if his temperature stays down, he'll be coming home on Tuesday. He's coming home with a cartload of intravenous nutrition, so I have to learn how to deal with that. Hope they send a stand with it too, otherwise I'll have to hook him up to the light fitting! It's been a long and horrible week, but I'm glad he's feeling a little better. That makes me feel better too. And thank you to everyone on here, who gave me so much support during the black days. I'm off to make some nutritious beef soup now, to see if we can get his digestive system to work when he comes home. Pat xxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks for your comments and wishes! Let's hope it all goes ok. They had to stop his nutrition yesterday because he was feeling so sick - hope it was only because it was 3 times the amount he's been having and they dripped it in pretty fast.

Poor soul. I'll sit there and time every blessed drip if it helps! But then I guess he'll call me 'the witch of the ward' again .....
