hi im new

Less than one minute read time.
hi im new to the site and just wanted to chat with people who wount feel uncomfortable talking about my cancer as many friends and family seem to. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago and have had chem radio and a mastectomy. I am currently taking tamoxifen and at the moment feel ok baring a few aches and twinges which i am putting down to the onset of old age! I do go thorough times of terrible depression which i feel guilty about as i am luckier than some women. I would just like to hear from anyone who would like a chat.x

    Hi Lynne

Welcome. You've come to the right place to talk and get support at this difficult time. It doesn't matter how good your family and friends are you need to talk to others in the same boat. I know that sometimes we want to protect our loved ones cos we feel we are burdoning them all the time with our feelings. I have a terrific hubby but he realises that coming onto this site is sometimes the only way I can unload. However I don't just unload I try to share and support others and this is what wa are all about. You are further on than me. I was dx in March , had a bilateral masectomy with reconstrution in June and started chem in August. After, I am having radiotherapy and Herceptin as well as Tamoxifen. So if you feel like a natter  PM me at any time. All the best Jules x

Hiya. Just read your post. I'm on here because my mum is ill. Just letting you know I love Heavy horses as well, and try to get to their shows in the summer. If your horse was at Southsea or Weald and Downland, I may have a photo of it. Anyway, if you go on youtube, I have put some heavy horse photos on there. They may cheer you up. My name on there is angiepompey.

    Take care.

Hi Lynne - Just wanted to say hello and to let you know that all of us on here seem to be quite good listeners, as well as putting our own penny's worth in, lol, so feel free to ramble on like a babling brook and we'll all have a wee read of your words and hopefully offer you words of encouragement, ok? By the way, SHAME on you for talking about the onset of old age at the age of 47, lol  You've made me feel positively ancient and I'm a sprightly 55 with no onset of "old age" yet, thank you very much, lol Hold on tight with lotsa love kate xxxxxxxxxxxxx
