New to all this! Caught up in a riptide of emotions!!

Less than one minute read time.

Due to start either radiotherapy or chemo in Feb. Very apprehensive as I've heard all sorts about after effects, etc.  Specialists have said as it will be a low dose I shouldn't worry about this or hair loss, but I've read about people getting rashes, red skin, and other issues.  Anyone got any experience, good as well as not so good, to share??? Very concerned...

    Hi Jannie,

Sorry to hear that you have to undergo this and the worry can be quite daunting but thankfuly the help and advise is here so I hope we can all assure you and help you through.

As for me, i underwent a very mild form of chemo (ECX) which wasnt too bad and the worse part of it has been fatigue. Frustratingly tired and taking sooooooo long to recover my energy levels.

But perservering and fighting on and even wrote a book about my experience. [Edited by admin]

Either way, I wish you well and hope like me, that you only have the chemo.

    Regards

    .

Thanks Sir Vivor - good name, hah!

I will have a look at your book in the daytime when I have a bit longer on the computer.  Thanks for your comments.  I will post as my treatments commence, hopefully it won't be too bad.
