going back to work

Less than one minute read time.
Hi all, just wondering how long people were off work after surgery. I had a mastectomy and ld reconstruction in november. Still have a seroma getting drained every 2 weeks, still some pain, difficulty sleeping some nights as trying to find a comfy position. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me a rough idea. Dr quite happy so sign me off, dont know if im being a bit wimpy or not still being off. Liz.

    Hi Liz,

Good luck with the return to work.  Re the discomfort at night.....I bought one of those memory foam mattress toppers and found I got a much more comfortable night with that.....only trouble is that it is quite hot.  Not sure if you had chemo but if you got your free menopause on the NHS courtesy of chemo you may find that a bit of a prob!!
