  • chemo starts next week

    went to see my wizard onc today again, he said all 5 pre existing tumours are defenately still stable, the new tumour is a small one , only been growing a maximum of 4 months, so he is starting me on taxotere....

    bloods done today, pre chemo tests on tues, then picc line in on thurs, and start chemo at same time, 4  to start then scan, then take it from there, but probably at least 8... pretty much as i expected... but…

  • i have a new gremlin to play with

    my wizard oncologist rang me this afternoon, seems i have a new gremlin to play with, the existing 5 are still stable, but this new one wants to play... so let the games begin, seeing him on thursday to discuss my new chemo regime, possibly starting chemo next week... taxotere is my weapon of choice... wish me  luck

    last night i went for my check up, with my wizard onc.... there wasn`t the usual back slapping ... telling me how wonderfull i looked (i still think i look good ...lol) i have been having pain in my liver for a few weeks and feeling a bit tired... alarm bells ringing...

    so  he examined me, he could feel my liver, and i felt uncomfortable while he was examining me, he told me not to book my skydive till after my scan next…

  • DOUBLE CELEBRATION!

    today is the anniversary of the day the doctors told me i had 3 to 4 months to live...... 2 years on and i am still here..... 1 year and 8 months past my sell by date, i have finished my bucket list and lots more besides... reached the ripe old age of 50..... its been 11 years since my first dx with breast cancer... so i suppose in cancer terms thats a lot ...lol...as i said ... im still here and apart from a little pain…

    Are we really going to have to go through the "jokes" debate again?.... are we all too "ill" to enjoy a sense of humour?... just for the record , i have terminal cancer... and yes i do take it seriously... but for goodness sake people... why all the fuss over some jokes, dont you know laughter is the best medicine?... and look... really... you have the freedom of choosing NOT to read them... am i not normal in how i chose…
