my partner was told he had throat cancer in august he has base of the tongue cancer with with secondry cacer in the lymph nodes roller coaster ride comes close to some of the highs and lows we have been thro he has had 35 radio and 3 chemos  his treatment finished in the middle of november but up to now he is still using his peg for most of his feeding his taste buds are still not working altough he is trying to eat little bits of different foods every day we are due back at the hopitaL in jan when we should get a scan date to see how his treatment has gone fingers crossed we will get some good news

    thank you ,feel so good today my partner managed to eat 1 fish finger and some soggy rice crispies its like we are moving forward for the first time in months.

    Hi Liz

    I was diagnosed with base of tongue and lymph node

    cancer in November 2009.I also had 35 rt and 3 chemos

    with peg as well .I also had op to remove lymph gland.I understand your worry but was supported throughout by my partner also called  liz she was brilliant no doubt

    like you all i can say yes things will get better on the eating front and he will fell great to have real food again

    Patience is certainly a virtue hear, I wish you all the best for his scan in Jan  all the best
