This is definitely going to be one of those years to forget... Various bad things have happened with the crowning glory being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 35 just 2 weeks before my wedding abroad (which was then affected by the volcanic ash cloud)!
I've started writing a blog in addition to a hardback pen and paper journal to capture my experiences throughout this breast cancer journey as and when I feel like writing about them. In summary:
My breast cancer status:
Found lump during self-check: 13th February 2010
Official Diagnosis date: 31st March 2010 (aged 35 and 6 months)
Diagnosis details:
- Grade 3 IDC (15mm)
- Triple negative (ER- PR- HER2-)
- stage 1 (T1c-N0-M0)
- BRCA1 (mutation 4327C>T)
Current BC treatment status: Chemotherapy FEC-T, next cycle 6/6 (3rd and final Taxotere aka docetaxel) on 16th September 2010, woohoo!
