5 of 6 completed!

Less than one minute read time.
Hi all, just reporting that as of friday, 5 of 6 chemos completed! whoopee- the end is in site, bloods were ok after my panic which actually was the start of shingles- done and dusted now. I also found my CA125 from cycle 4, which was down to 8, after starting at mid 30 after the op, so I guess its working, so I am sure not complaining about the side effects at the moment ( give me a while- I will!) I cant believe its nearly over, still got the avastin ongoing, but hell, it cant be as bad as with the chemo with it can it? for those about to start- hang in there, it does come to an end- even if its just for a while.

Hi spencebeach, its weird isnt it, being this close to the end, but  still having one left to go through- so close yet so far!

I am planning to go away in july- missed 2 holidays, so am damn sure gonna have one this year, and I figure I deserve it- lets face it we all do! I am aware that insurance is going to be a problem, especially as i want to go to morrocco or tunisia, but its gotta be worth it!

Hi Sue , How you feeling? I have been so tired this time. Bloods were really up before last Thursdays dose including Hb so surprised me really. On the turn up today, I hope, if all follows the same pattern. The aches and pains are subsiding now and I started eating last night because I wanted food and not just to satisfy my husbands need to "get something nutritious into me".

It is a strange feeling with only one more session to go but on other hand to not have that crutch of chemo to rest on. I really do have very mixed feelings but am really trying to be positive.

The big one will be making the booking for our holiday as this will be my statement to myself that I cam move on. I think this is where my previous experience as a cancer nurse myself is on the negative side. Too much knowledge not a good thing sometimes. You always sound so upbeat and positive and thanks for that.

Morocco sounds hot and spicy. Good for you. We will be going to Canada in October for  a couple of weeks and then again for a month in February.

    Take Care S x
