Dash that Ash

Less than one minute read time.

I had an appointment today to have six steroid injections in my spine in the hope they would help my severe back pain. The guy doing it is a specialist anaesthetist but, guess what? He is stranded in Spain because of the Ash Cloud. Argh! They have booked it again for next Monday so fingers crossed, he makes it back to England by then. In the meantime I'll keep taking the painkillers and continue with the weird side effects!Sad

Good luck to all who need it,

KateG

Dear KateG, thank you so much for writing to me - I really feel for you and your predicament and hope your anaesthetis (can't spell) gets back next week to give you your injections.  Good luck with them and I hope they work.  Even if you only get 3 mts pain free its better than nothing and gives you a chance to catch your breath and enjoy doing something for yourself without the need for pain relief.  Chronic pain also causes horrid depression and I hope you are able to manage your pain and walk that lovely dog in the picturexxxxxxx Ann

Aw Kate, I feel so bad for you.  I know how debilitating chronic pain can be. I hope your week isn't too long and you manage to get your treatment done next week.

    Take care, Christine xx
