Hello everyone !!

1 minute read time.

Hi - am glad to be on the new site at last - after a few technical difficulties and a possible name change (was going to be Joolsx2 - UGH) - thankfully I can now keep my username - thanks James :)

I am day 4 after my first course of Carboplatin (having 6 so hopefully should be finished by Christmas) and so far so good. Unfortunately I was unable to persuade the Professor to allow me onto her trial but she has offered some new trials comming up in the new year for me to consider. I began Carboplatin on Wednesday - as I tend to feel very sick on IV chemo the chemo nurses gave me a new injection called ALOXI - which is given IV half an hour before the chemo and lasts 3-7 days for antisickness - WOW well so far its been working - I have felt  a bit queezy at times but nothing too bad and certainly not enough to need the extra antisickness tablets I have as back up. So it has gone well. This is chemo course number 5 for me (over the past 6 years) - I feel like I am working my way through the whole range of chemos on offer LOL At least Carboplatin doesn't make you lose your hair!

Well that is all my news - well apart from I won £6.50 on the Euromillions and lost my mobile phone over the weekend - however a lovley lady found it and my phone is back with me and none the worse for its expedition. It is lovely when things go right - not many people these days would have handed me my phone back - I am so grateful - nice to know there are still honest people and kind deeds being done !

Love to you all, Jools xxxxx

Well I am on day 8 of cycle two on Carboplatin - I seem to be fine apart from slight sore throat (seeing Doc later today). I am already reducing my pain meds as my Liver is no longer hurting me - amazing after only 2 cycles - chemo is a wonderful thing. I don't want to speak too soon but I am sure it is working well! Hope you are also all well. Love Jools x
