cycle 2 started Tuesday

1 minute read time.

I had my second IV dose of oxaliplatin on Tuesday and started the two weeks of oral capecitibine.

The good news is the localised pain to the arm it went in is much less this time. The bad news is the nausea is much worse and even with Ondansetron (supposedly a strong anti-sickness drug) I didn't manage to keep anything down at all yesterday - even sips of water were a struggle. I'm not feeling great today, but at least managed to hold onto a bit of breakfast by lying extremely still in bed all morning.

I ended up missing a dose of the capecitibine. I was waiting to see if I could have any food with it - the answer was 'no' and then it was too late in the evening. So, definitely more to discuss with the oncologist next time we meet.

Girls are wanting lots of cuddles and P especially finding it hard to see me poorly again. However, we are having good times too - and at the weekend managed to visit B for the first time in Wales. Neither girl wanted to leave and P has announced that Wales is one of the 'best pieces of the world'. Hard not to agree - the countryside was beautiful.

Looking forward to bouncing back in the way that happened in the first cycle!
