D-Day

Less than one minute read time.
For those of you who may not have been following Dave's Caring Bridge website, where I do most of my journaling (www.caringbridge.org/visit/davidpuente), I had a great 2,200 mile trek across the US from West Coast (N California) to Little Rock, Arkansas with my trusty yellow lab Kip. It was uneventful and wonderful and managed to visit with a couple of friends along the way. Our temporary digs are perfect and I snagged Dave at the airport on Saturday a couple hours after I arrived. We are at the Myeloma Institute now in Little Rock at the UAMS (University Arkansas Medical Sciences) Campus and have done our blood work and now are waiting to have the doctor consult and then off to interventional radiology clinic for installation of his port. We are both doing GREAT and I thank you all for your continued well wishes and support. It always gives me a boost and in that, it helps Dave. Always good to make sure the caregiver's are in good shape! :) We don't want any Nurse Ratchet's from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest now do we? :) Best, Lori
