another experience over

1 minute read time.

Well at least the doctor doing the utrasound knew what he was doing today!  I am now convinced that when I had one in Feb (after 48 hours as an inpatient for speed!) that they guy doing it wasn't interested.  My signs and symptons are exactly the same, and he sent me out saying I was wasting  his time, but as it was a new experience for me I couldn't argue.  Today was so different, and the doctors and nurses so considerate while they drained put 6.5 ltrs of liquid from me that I was very relieved.  Thank heaven we didn't have any more snow, and got to the hospital at the scheduled time for my bloods.  managed to walk to the surgical day unit and got booked in eventually.  My husband then drove to another hospital for his appointment at the back pain clinic!  He had  a phone call to say when  was back on the ward and 'draining' and another when it was time to fetch me home.  A very good Nhs day allround.  Thank goodness the snow didn't materialize, it rained all afternoon) so he managed to get back to fetch a much lighter and more comfortable wife home ready to face Christmas.
