Today, it is my darling Ray's birthday. He would have been 55 if he had made it to this day. Why is life so cruel as to rob a person of all the years they should have been enjoying.
So Ray, because I am unable to say this to you in person I will do it here.
As you sit amongst the Angels,

I want to say "I love you"
and wish that you were here.

and wish you 'happy birthday".
The kids and I are going out later to honour the day with a few drinks at the place where we all used to meet up for any gatherings which involved drinking. It will I am sure be a very emotional time but we cannot just let this day go by unobserved can we?
