Debs Daily Deliberations - 39

2 minute read time.
Evening All, What a wonderful day eh!!!!!!! Glorious sunshine and hardly a cloud in the sky all day. Woke up to a cuppa tea in bed served by my lovely husband, not sure there is a better way to start the day. We all lazed around in our jimjams for far too long probably and then I made bacon sarnies which fuelled us into getting our butts into gear and dressed, apart from Jack who surfaced nearer lunchtime. Now as you all know, my parents left enough plants on their visit that I could have entered a show at Chelsea.........however, they all needed planting and my garden has been neglected a bit. So it was garden day........TONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did a bit yesterday (well all down one side border) and today I am feeling the after-effect......gawd my leg muscles ache from bending up and down. So I supervised a lot today with Tony doing the work, of course I provided the much needed refreshments. By lunchtime the grass was mowed and I had planted up two long troughs with the help of Sean and Lara. It was too nice to come inside so I made a picnic lunch of various sarnies, breadsticks, grapes and drinks and much to the neighbours annoyance (haha) we plugged in a small stereo and ALL (yes even Jack braved the sunlight and amazingly didn't burst into flames LOL) sat around on blankets, chatting and eating.....even Dexter got in on the act ;) We really need to do this more often, I LOVE MY FAMILY Once all the garden was looking goooooooooooooooood, the younger kids begged for the tent, in fact they have been begging us for years to let them camp out in the garden but even though my garden is not particularly large.......I've been too chicken to let them. But you know whats coming right LOL.........Sean and Lara are camping out tonight.....the sidegate is bolted and Tony has piled all the bikes behind it. The kids are sooooooooooooooo excited (Lara even more so cos her hamster has been keeping her awake lately), they have their gameboys charged and their mobile phones (of course LOL) and enough sweets to completely rot their entire sets of adult teeth. Guess who WONT be sleeping much tonight and no....not cos of that ;) Tomorrow Lara myself and Tony are off to the coast to visit my parents (OMG twice in one week LOL) as its my Dads birthday. I am allowing the boys to stay home, getting quite liberal in my old age ha ha. Right now, we are all back in dressing gowns watching Britains Got Talent!!!!! Who's it gonna be????? Thought for today: As you were, I was. As I am, you will be Hunter S Thompson - Hells Angel

I can beat your breakfast drink.... Richard's birthday weekend... and as we are up early to drive to family tomorrow... we had champagne breakfast!!! Well, I had Bucks Fizz or I'd never have got up!

I wish I had a garden, we rent and have a large communal area (which only 2 of us use, me and the man next door) but I'd love to do some planting...Rich's is growing window-sill-chillies! - its the best we can do!

Aww debs,   glad you had a good family day.  Hope camping goes well.    Enjoy visit with dad.  Should be a nice day (well at least weather wise) lol.   We once covered our hamster cage with an old curtain (to stop it from getting cold overnight) and when we came down in the morning it had chewed it into bits,  dragged it into the cage and made it into a bed.  Well I didn't know it would do that lol.

My kids used t camp in the back garden and I had to sleep on the floor by the window. I told the granddaughter, Eleanor about it and I had bought her a small one man tent so she nagged her father that she was going camping and that he had to sleep on the floor as i had done. Antony thanked me profusely for getting her the tent! Anyway we erected it and she got inside with her sleeping back and all of the things that a five year old needs for a good night's sleep. I kept pointing to the mat where Antony was going to sleep and he kept making uncomplimentary comments. Finally at nine o'clock, Eleanor came in, announced that "She had had enough of camping" and went ot bed. SO I never got my revenge. BUT, I will return.

    Keep smiling

    Love
