Debs Daily Deliberations - 24

2 minute read time.
Morning all - although it will be afternoon by the time I finish typing this!! I am a grumpalump today - didn't wanna get out of bed.........woke around 6am when hubby got up, with the biggest stonker of a headache. Its a buttercup headache - the kind that sits behind your forehead, makes you feel a little nauseus and peaks behind my right eye. I call it a buttercup headache, because those are the kind I got BEFORE the seizure and surgery. I dozed on and off till 7am when my alarm went off, headache still there and rose objectionally to see the kids off to school etc. I took a couple of paracetamol, something I haven't had to do since surgery - except for "that" time of the month. 3 hours later, its still there and no better. I tried laying down on the sofa, made sure I had been to the loo - not on the sofa of course (cos we all know that if you don't poop - the pressure travels up your spine and gives you sh1t thoughts for the rest of the day) and walked to Tesco's for some fresh air. I bought some Nurofen while shopping and have popped a couple of those babies while making myself a late brekkie/early lunch of a bacon roll - crispy bacon but its in a granary baguette so its not all bad - at least thats what I am telling myself LOL Now mon-fri for the last 7-8 weeks I have had someone ask me everyday "any headaches?".......nope.......and now on only the 2nd day after finishing I get this beauty!!!!!!! I know the treatment will peak 1-2 weeks after but I hope I don't have to go through this everyday till then. On a happy note, Tony had 3 new students turn up to his karate club last night and I schmoozed one of the parents to within an inch of her life - so they wont be back next week LOL Lara sits her last SATS exam today, so for dinner tonight are having pan fried fillet of lamb (Lara's fav.....cos she gets to smother it in "green sauce"), cabbage, leeks, green beans, broccoli (just realised its all bloody green LOL) with mashed potato for her and Sean and mustard mash for the rest of us. A nice lamb and mint gravey too. But the best bit.....is the worstest gooeyist (I know they aren't real words, I got a B in English O'Level at 14, believe it or not) Banoffee Pie for dessert. Not even going to think of the calories!!! Right, can't sit in front of the screen much longer........but after a lie down and when the Nurofen kicks in, I may come and bother you all in chat. Kerrie, I am sure Mum is in very good hands - try to stay distracted today x Thought for today: Don't look back unless you intend to go that way. Marc Holm

Bacon sarnie and a lie down should help.  Your daily blogs are keeping me going - as are your daily meals as I don't want to have to think for myself about what to cook!  Pity you don't live nearer you could just double up quantities and feed us as well.

Hope you are feeling better soon

    Love

    J xx

PS Had to edit this several times as my grammar and spelling were below SATs standards

Aww Debs,  sorry you are suffering these headaches.  If only I could massage them away for you.  I have read this after eating a very makeshift meal of leftovers. (eating coz I have to).  Your meal sounded so much more appealing.   Oh well, we can't all be gourmet cooks. (and I certainly am not).  Take care love.  Hope to see you alter x x

Well dinner was fab, except I forgot to take the banoffee pie out of the fridge early enough so it was a bit on the hard side LOL

The kids had a FAB lolly and have gone off to karate and will have the banoffee when they get back.  The headache has subsided to a dull ache instead of a roar now.
