Wednesday, kids all went to school without too much bother but I had insisted on waterproof jackets and gloves as it was really windy out. I ran myself a nice deep bubbly bath and laid there thinking about my Nan as it would have been around the time of her funeral.
Out and dressed I sorted some laundry and folded some clothes that were dry on the airers. I came downstairs and did the washing up, or it did me more like. I am so clumsy that I always manage to splash the water all over my front! Today it looked like I had been white water rafting rather than "hands that do dishes........" Still I had an hour or so before Tony was due home to take me to the hospital to dry out.
Made myself a bacon sarnie and text Tony to see if he had eaten and would he like a sandwich? Yes please came the reply so two rounds of prawn mayo on Best of Both wrapped in foil and in the fridge. I'd made myself a cuppa and had just sat down to drink it when the hubby comes through the door, got out of work earlier than he expected. Made him a coffee and chatted while he ate his sarnies (glad to say he dropped some down his front - oh YES he always pokes fun at me for doing that).
Right time to head to Romford innit! Bloodtest form.........erm its not on my cork board in the kitchen with my appt card.........oh eck! After a bit of ploughing through the post and paperwork piled on the side ...... Tony found it.....phew! Grabbed my new heatpad and we were ready to go. Of course I couldn't activate the darn thing but thankfully Tony was on hand. Couldn't believe how hot they get, I couldn't actually put it on my arm to begin with, "oh mumma, too hot..........too spicey, hot hot hot" sorry dunno why that Subway advert sprang to mind LOL
Uneventful journey to Queens, parked and walked to the vampire station, it was up to number 455 on the screen, pressed the button and out popped my ticket 457 wohooooooo shouldn't be long. Indeed not, called in within a minute.......walk to cubicle 5 as ordered by the annoucement and flashing screen. There sat a very young pretty black vampire called Kira. I explained I am a difficult customer and I see her face change......I think she was more nervous than me! Tourniquet on, fist clenched and we prodded and waited and prodded and waited for seemed like an awful long time. Her face was kinda screwed up in a "oh gawd" kinda face. So I said "I dont wanna see that face, I wanna see a 'yay I found one' face"....she laughed - nervously - prodded me for a bit longer and stuck me "ouch" didn't see that one coming lol She put the first vial in and as the blood flowed she broke out into a huge smile and said "yaaaaaaaaaay" and punched the air. I had obviously pleased her LOL
On our way back home with 10 minutes of arriving at the hospital and £2 down for the priviledge! Called into Tesco's for some milk and bread and we bump into Jack - who was walking home from school and saw us go in. Tony and Jack drag me down the Entertainment aisle and yes we leave £39.87 lighter for buying Call of Duty 2! Home and Sean and Lara are already in.
Dinner was pizza and garlic bread for the kids and Tony and I had potato gratin with reduced fat german spiced sausages and red onion and worcestershire sauce. Went down a treat but I am sure the indigestion will follow later, I seem to be suffering from that a fair bit lately.
So now I had to listen to bullets spraying and watch covert ops on my tv till I turfed them off at 8pm to watch Waterloo Road. We then watched "I'm a Z Lister' and what is Katie trying to do......all this heavy breathing and simulated panic......she got stuck in last time pah, not having any sympathy off me! Camilla, what a lightweight........but now we have Joe Bugner....I am old enough to remember him and seen some of his fights. Loved the way he scared the crap outta all of them by telling them all the stories about how well, pretty much everything in the jungle can kill you LOL
So to bed around 10.30pm with a sore arm - not from the bloodtest but from the tape they use to keep the cotton pad on after! Results tomorrow.........fingers crossed they are good.
