Debs Daily Deliberations - 1

1 minute read time.
Well I figured there are just too many people on here who do not have the good fortune to meet me in chat, so I will reach out via the ever popular blog. I do have a blog that I have been keeping since diagnosis and thats linked on my profile page. I am hoping this will be more of a daily snippit. It was day 17 of my radiotherapy (16 more to go) and now just over the halfway mark. It would seem that my shell (or head as I call it) seems to go missing a lot at the hospital, she moves from one RT room to another (there are 4 at the Queens, Romford). I like to think that all the shell's come alive at night (like your toys in your toybox) and have a good chat, of course the RT team think I am quite mad. Well I am being treated for a disorder of the brain, what do they think I will be like. Anyways, mine was found on the bottom shelf away from all the others.......now this is easily explained - I am a bad influence and have to be kept apart ;) Joking aside, the hairloss was kinda devastating at first, although this is the ONLY side-effect I have noticed so far.......lost most of it over easter, talk about sick sense of humour with me ending up looking like a boiled egg (instead of chocolate)! I am getting over it now, been into a wig shop to see what thats all about as I look like a cross between Max Wall and Michelle Pfeiffer in Stardust - ordinarily I would love to look like Michelle, but those of you who have seen her as the witch part in the movie will no its no compliment LOL The sun is out today and I am in a great mood, had a good chat today and met lots of new people. Hopefully they will all get my rather warped sense of humour, which is helping me get through this. Thats all folks, tune in tomorrow when I will dispense some more nonesense disguised as words of wisdom ;)
