Debs Daily Deliberations 191

3 minute read time.

Saturday and I woke to just me and the dogs, Tony had finally got some overtime - yaaaaay.  Up around 8am and let the "boys" out.  Make a cuppa tea and sit at my computer in the grey darkness that comes from it being a grey rainy day.  I read a few blogs and check up on people on facebook.  Then I have two conversations on the go, one with Shez at her tin villa and one with Tricia/Dev/Foreveryours (some people are just not content with one name Stick out tongue).....when we decide we will come into the chatroom on here to make it easier.  It was really good catching up girls, the WhatNow Sleepover Club (anyone with girls around the age of 9-12 will probably know a similar show on Nickelodean) all still in our dressing gowns at gone 10am!! Talking about childhood caravan holidays. Got dressed and before long Tony came home from work.  Todays photographic intermissions, come from our trip to Horsey in Norfolk a few weeks before my brain surgery in January, to see the seals.

Tony and I went shopping, with the kids on half-term and me on chemo next week we thought it was best to stock up on all their essentials, crisps and choccy crap and boxes and boxes of breakfast cereal.  Also got plenty of "instant noodles" for Jack for those "what can I eat?" moments.

Shopping put away we pottered around the house, Tony tidied the hall cupboard and organised the shoes (again!) and I washed up ready for dinner.  We then watched a bit of the BBC programme on Seve Ballesteros and his fight with a malignant tumour - boy do I feel lucky!  Tonights dinner was pretty much 'around the World in half a dozen dishes'.  We generally have a takeaway or something we can just graze on.  Tonight we had Yakatori Chicken, Chicken Satay, onion rings, onion bhaji's, vegetable samosa's and Duck Spring Rolls.  All plonked on a couple of platters and help yourself!!!!!  Now it was X-Factor time...Tony had consumed several glasses of red wine by now and it was quite hard to shut him up during the show, complaining about all the singers etc etc etc!  Olly is still my man, not the best voice but overall a very good performer.  Stacey bless her seems to be being judged on her awful talking voice rather than her beautiful singing voice (OK OK I am from Essex lol).  I thought Lucie was very good this week, didn't get the Miss Frank big band cRapping (sorry that was norti of meTongue Tied) and have never got Jamie Hair Bear Bunch!  Lloyd.......Lara likes him, wonder why!  Not giving over space to the twit twins.

Finished off my evening watching Jack Dee, who really makes me laugh - even the sketch about cancer and exercise - went to bed with a smile on face knowing we are taking the dogs back to Pishiobury Park whatever the weather and if its good, I will take my camera this week.

My love going out to Judith (Creative01) who has been throwing herself about (am beginning to wonder if she's a Secret Lemonade Drinker Indifferent) and breaking bones and due to go into hospital for yet another operation.  I miss you my agent and you are not earning your fee's!

Thought for today:

its one of the problems of been on your own and finding yourself in these situations.

    your thought for today

do you realise that there isnrt a drop of water on earth now than when the earth was formed . theres no way in through the outer layer of the universe for water to pass to here.

    makes you wonder !.

Debs you have such a wonderful talent. The pictures are fantastic again. I was torn between x factor and most haunted live last night and was flitting from one to the other so I wasn't concentrating on the performances, but none of them were particularly exciting last night. But I bet those daft bouncing jelly babies get through again tonight!

    Hi Debs,

I watched that documentary on Seve and I thought it was brilliant. Notice the way he said dont feel sorry for my or cry. Fight and keep Fighting and you will win.  He is dead right I have laryngeal cancer for the last 13 yrs. my motto for beating this disease is" your strength is in the mind " and plenty of humour,

I hope you are keeping well.

Take care and be safe Sarsfield. xx
