Before I start my blog I need to have a little moan. I can navigate this site ok now and have found lots of old friends.....but do I like it...NO. I have to sign in every time I visit now - yes admin I have lowered my security settings and added this site to my trusted area etc etc but to no avail. This puts me off visiting as much as I have to sign in (and can only sign in on the Whats New page - doesnt work on any other) to add comments etc....tis why I am quieter (if thats possible ). This is also the second weekend in a row that I have had trouble getting onto the site.....if its down now I don't bother keep retrying.
So I haven't blogged since Thursday and now I have completely forgotten what happened on Friday other than I did the usual, housework, washing and walk to Tesco's. We had Swedish Meatballs, organic pea's & chips with my last sachet of "Swedish Meatball Style Sauce".
Saturday and Tony, the dogs and myself were the last to wake in the house, first time I can remember that happening in a long time! Drag our butts outta bed at 8.30am and enjoy a cuppa and some Beglian Waffles with syrup and cream. We then sit and watch Hairspray (again) with John Travolta - I love that film - before getting ready to go out. We had to buy Lara another pair of school shoes - yes already! I tried to be a good Mum last time and let her choose and even though I moaned the shoes were not leather, she wanted them.....yeah well I was right, didn't last 3 weeks. This time they were going to be leather and no excuses. Took Tony and I forever to find a pair to fit. She had her feet measured, right foot size 3, left foot size 2.5! Head to the right section, the 2.5's literally fall off her feet. End up buying a size 1.5 Hush Puppies.......so who's wrong, the shop assistant, the foot measurer thingamebobby or the shoe manufacturer????
Lara reminds us that we took Jack for lunch last weekend when he came shopping with us and begs to go to Pizza Hut, walk over and they are queuing out of the door. Tony and I look at each other and shake our heads. Lara then decides to strop..OMG I so wanted to do what that woman in the cold remedy advert does and throw myself on the floor and wave my arms and wail to see how she feels. We head back to the car and Tony drives to a local Beefeater and we eat in. Lara has a pasta dish while Tony and I had flamegrilled steaks....no dessert as we were full (big breakfast).
Back home for a bit before shopping at Tesco's. I did Jack some burgers and chips for dinner, Lara had a few chips, Sean wanted nothing as he had been to the cinema to see the Invention of Lying (which he said was OK but not as good as they hoped) and they had eaten at Subway before coming home. Tony and I shared a plate of Nacho's later in the evening when we got peckish. Saturday night is X-Factor night.......hmmmm was an interesting show, contraversial as usual. Before I knew it, it was 11pm.....late for me and we all headed for bed.
Thought for today:
Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.
