Debs Daily Deliberations 171

3 minute read time.

Saturday a lie-in with my lovely hubby and no poison to throw down my throat. Buttercup was still loitering like hoodies round a corner shop but I wanted to go into town with Tony. Lara was staying in, still upset over Biscuit and Sean was heading off to the city of Chelmsford to go ice-skating.....this was probably adding to my stress levels, as its a good hour or so away by bus and I am an overprotective Mum! Jack came into town with us to have a haircut, another £11 down and now I am getting nagged to order him some Fudge Reform at £10 a tube for his new hairdo! Did the banking and looked around some opticians, I really want a new pair of glasses (want and NEED am sure my sight has changed) and found a gorgeous pair of black Tommy Hilfiger frames for £125 including single vision lenses. Think I am going to bite the bullet and book an appointment for in the week.

Shopping done, the three of us headed into Nando's for a spot of lunch, it was so much less stressful with one child (why did I want more LOL) and we left fully satisfied. Popped into B&Q on the way home to see if they had a wire letterbox cover to stop the dogs accidently "eating" something they shouldn't. Dexter is pretty good with the post if we are out.....if I am home, he tries to get it before me and at the moment, he's faster!!!!!! They didn't have any, so I popped into McDonald's and grabbed Lara a Happy Meal (yeukkkkkk) but it cheered her up so that was good.

I did the washing and ironing for school while Tony played his new game "Command & Conqueor" well I say played - I mean lost, several times LOL At this point Tony decided we should take a drive to my favourite garden centre, Van Hages at Great Amwell just over the border in Hertfordshire. The weather was extremely windy, I mean gusting and as we walked from the car to the entrance, I lost my hat. I was mortified......quickly chased it, grabbed and plonked it back on my head feeling very embarassed. Tony asked if I was OK and I said yes, but I wasn't really....thank goodness it wasn't very busy at the time. We came away without buying anything but a few idea's for around the new pond. Stopped at......yes Tesco's on the way back and got some picky things for Saturday night dinner and as promised to Lara all the ingrediants necessary for them to have a chocolate fondue for dessert.

Sean phoned to say he was eating out with his friends but was getting the 6.10pm bus home - from the town as I thought.....but after several frantic phonecalls to him just after 7pm as I know the bus journey is only 15mins....he came home to say no he mean't 6.10pm from Chelmsford - oops blame it on Buttercup! The kids and Tony enjoyed the chocolate fondue with fresh strawberry's and mini marshmallows. I settled for a bowl of strawberry's and cream. After this we settled down for an evening of torture for Tony - X FACTOR lol......I made it to the end of the programme but a really nasty headache was brewing. The whole Perry family was in bed by 10pm with only Jack sitting up in bed till the wee hours playing Final Fantasy on his PSP. I woke shortly after 12.30am, Buttercup was NOT happy.....she was seething and letting me have it with both barrels. I tossed and turned all night catching 40 winks here and there, several times I thought I was going to be sick and dashed to the loo but nothing "appeared"......what a lousy night and weird dreams and I woke with the same feeling of a hundred little hands pushing my skull inwards and feeling my brain wanting to escape.....not a feeling I recommend. Wonder how Sunday will pan out !!!!!!

    Hello Debs

Just a quick word of warning re your eyes!  My vision changed quite a bit while I was on chemo last time, but I was told this often happens and not to spend a lot of money on new glasses until chemo had been over for about 6 weeks . . .  I got some cheap reading glasses and waited to get new prescription glasses until after treatment (and my vision had improved somewhat)!

    Love
