evening everybloody peeps, dunno why I was thinking of Harry Enfields old character Stavros then.....but hey a teenager of the 80's and all that! Woke early and dozed on and off till 7.15am and figured if I got up and dressed I could take my anti-nausea tablet and cadge a lift to Tesco's with Tony on his way to work and only have to walk back and would be in time to take my chemo. Alas Tony went to work early and I didn't fancy hanging around outside waiting for Tesco's to open....I mean bloody hell I know I go everyday as much for the exercise as shopping but I aint that bleedin addicted LOL So I had a cuppa tea and nosed around on the computer and at 9am I popped my poison with a huge glass of water - not that it matters, the awful backdraft taste still comes through no matter how much glugging of water you do. Lara got up and was sitting on her laptop still in her jimjames when I went to Tesco's. I remembered my rubber gloves today, a nice green pair with bamboo fibres inside for added comfort no less lol Got some snacks for the kids lunch and pasta for dinner tonight. Slow walk home and put the oven to heat some pain au chocolat as my hour was up and I could eat! Not a great lover of choccy but Mother Nature knocked on the door today and its the only time I HAVE to have some ;) The smell of warming croissants brought the boys out of their bedroom....... Hung out the washing and set about planting up the flowers we got on Monday, I did three big pots and a trough and then managed to drag them around the outside of the house to brighten up the front paved area in front of our door.....then walked back and forth watering them......I just about got inside and collapsed onto the sofa..........cream crackered!!!!! Hubby phoned to check in and "told me off" for doing too much again.......see I don't feel "ill" so why act it eh??? Had some buttered hot cross buns and a cuppa tea for lunch watched some rubbish tv and went for a soak in the bath. I dug out my stripey jimjams I was telling Leigh about earlier and have spent the rest of the day ready for bed LOL Cooked the kids some four cheese tortellini pasta and mini ciabatta garlic bites and for the adults, I oven roasted some button mushrooms, red peppers, courgettes...lots of garlic and for the last 20mins crumbled on some organic feta cheese. While I cooked some fresh fussili pasta I added small pieces of broccoli to the boiling water, once cooked the oven roasted veg and cheese were stirred through the pasta. Was really nice, after the red meat of yesterday I had a hankering for veggies today. Lara has gone to stay at my sisters house (I live at no.26 she is at no.111 round the corner), Jack is upstairs redoing his coursework he has spent all summer preparing and then stupidly reformatting his computer and forgetting to back the work up first!!!!!!! Sean is on his laptop on the sofa next to me and Tony is at karate (surprise!)......I am getting really tired now and although I hate to admit it, might just curl up on the sofa with my book for a bit. I hope Leigh's surgery has gone well and wish Debbie all the very best for tomorrow, hope we get updates soon people!! Judith let me know you are ok!!!!!!! Otherwise I will be telling your mum ;) I hope Markus is gaining some strength in hospital. Much love and strength to everyone going through treatment, waiting to start or waiting for results and everyone watching someone do this (don't want to leave the carers out). Thought for today: Hope is that thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words and never stops... at all. Emily Dickinson

    I was this close >< to emailing your Mum this morning Judith!!!!! and not with chocolate sauce recipies!!!!!

    K..I looked up Bamboo fibres and found this out

    absorbs and evaporates sweat in a split second.  It doesn’t stick to the skin.  Its extraordinary natural breathability keeps you comfortable and dry for longer. bamboo is antibacterial, forever. It's also UV protective (it cuts out 98% of harmful UV rays) and anti fungal  - not sure my hands are going to get a tan in the washing up bowl but hey.....kinda cool lol
